Slope dash!

Slope dash!

A long slope. A heartbreaking slope would be this road!

Slope Dash!" How many years, or even decades, has it been since I've been here....
The Otaru Evangelical Christ Church we visited the other day was a church built halfway up a hill. The church is a beautiful, western style church. The church is a beautiful western style building with a great view of the ocean from the inside.

With Pastor Nishimura @ Otaru Evangelical Christ Church

Well, I had known Pastor Nishimura, who took office in February of this year, for a whopping 15 years (at least).
As we talked about many things, I said to him, 'Oh, that time! ... ... there, too! ...! I never expected to see him again in Otaru.

(Kashiwagura) "There are many hills!"
(Nishimur) "We had a hard time with the snow...".
I think it snowed heavily throughout Japan at the end of last year and the beginning of this year, and it seemed to snow heavily in Otaru as well.
The straight line from Nishimura-sensei's parsonage to the church was about 150 meters, but it was an extremely steep slope, so the commute to work was like going step by step while piercing the ice wall of an iceberg with an ice pick. (<--- Excuse me. I think I am exaggerating.)
As a native of a snowy area (I am from Yamagata, too), I could imagine how hard winter can be.

I was greatly encouraged by the sight of people serving the Lord in various places and in various ways.

Dash for the hills! I want to run through it as many times as I can while I can!
